Nancy Goldberg Hilton (formerly Nancy Goodstein) is a published author.
She first wrote Jewish Records in the Family History Library Catalog. This massive work covered all specifically Jewish records in the Family History Library through January 8, 2001 and consisted of descriptions of approximately 4500 titles. This database was donated to the IAJGS during their 2000 conference in Salt Lake City and can be accessed at the jewishgen web site. For this effort the IAJGS gave her the Outstanding Contribution via Electronic Media award.
Her latest publication entitled Nechama's List is an update of her first database and covers the period from January 8, 2001 through November 8, 2006. It consists of over 600 new specifically Jewish records which have recently been added to the Family History Library Catalog. She has also written an article in the Avotaynu magazine on this subject.
Nancy worked as a full time volunteer in the Family History Library in Salt Lake City for two and one-half years. She and her husband, Dr. Lynn M Hilton, served as the directors of the Family History Center in Athens, Greece. Nancy is a former businesswoman from Dallas, Texas who owned her own title insurance company. She is presently serving with her husband as Family History Center consultants in Plainview, Long Island, New York.
Lynn M. Hilton, PhD (University of Chicago, 1952) wrote the Introduction for Nechama's List.
Lynn is a former University Professor and wrote the first detailed curriculum for genealogy courses at Brigham Young University. He is a published author, a businessman, a veteran of WWII and served as a member of the House of Representatives in the Utah Legislature.
